Job Summary
MedGlobal is looking for a dynamic and creative Communications Coordinator to join its Communications team. This role is crucial in enhancing the organization’s visibility by developing engaging content, managing social media platforms, and telling compelling stories that showcase MedGlobal’s impact worldwide.
The ideal candidate should be a talented content creator with experience in social media strategy, video production, and graphic design. They should be passionate about storytelling and have the ability to capture human-interest stories that reflect MedGlobal’s mission.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Content Creation:
Develop, write, and design high-quality, impactful content that aligns with MedGlobal’s brand and mission.
Ensure consistency in messaging across various communication materials.
2. Social Media Management:
Oversee and expand MedGlobal’s presence on major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Plan and execute social media campaigns to boost engagement, increase followers, and raise awareness about MedGlobal’s humanitarian initiatives.
Monitor social media trends, analyze performance metrics, and adjust strategies to improve outreach and engagement.
3. Video & Graphic Editing:
Produce, edit, and deliver high-quality videos and graphics that effectively communicate MedGlobal’s impact.
Work with field teams to capture on-the-ground footage, interviews, and stories to create compelling visual content.
Ensure all multimedia content meets professional standards and is optimized for various digital platforms, including social media, websites, and presentations.
4. Storytelling & Human-Interest Features
Collaborate with MedGlobal’s field teams to identify, document, and share impactful stories of the communities and individuals served.
Conduct interviews with beneficiaries, volunteers, and medical personnel to develop human-centered narratives that resonate with donors, partners, and the general public.
Create visually appealing and well-written content that amplifies these stories and highlights MedGlobal’s humanitarian efforts.
5. Collaborative Engagement
Work closely with the Communications, Fundraising, and Program team to develop and implement strategies for audience engagement.
Assist in the creation and production of various communication materials, including brochures, reports, newsletters, and presentations.
Contribute creative ideas to enhance MedGlobal’s engagement with stakeholders such as donors, volunteers, and healthcare professionals.
6. Website Management:
Oversee and maintain MedGlobal’s website to ensure that content is regularly updated, engaging, and aligned with the organization’s mission.
Edit and publish blog posts, news updates, and impact stories.
Optimize website content for search engines (SEO) to improve online visibility and engagement.
7. Supervising the Communications Team:
Provide guidance, feedback, and supervision to ensure high-quality content creation and adherence to MedGlobal’s brand guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
Strong commitment to MedGlobal’s mission and values, with a passion for humanitarian work.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, social media management, or content creation.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma).
Experience in managing websites, particularly through WordPress.
Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work under pressure across different cultures and time zones.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in humanitarian relief or a related field is an asset. – Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic, Spanish, or other languages is a plus.
