Call for Consultants: African Network for Climate Action (ANFCA)

The African Network for Climate Action (ANFCA) is actively seeking experienced professionals across Sub-Saharan Africa to contribute to addressing the region’s most urgent development challenges. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a strong track record in development, policy, sustainability, and technical expertise who are ready to drive change through impactful, Africa-led climate and development solutions.

As a pan-African platform empowering youth-led climate action, ANFCA advances policy influence, advocacy, and sustainability across the continent. The organization also plays a strategic role in representing African priorities within global climate fora, including engagements at the UNFCCC and other international platforms.

Geographic Focus
The current call is open to professionals based in or with experience in the following key countries:

Kenya
Nigeria
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)
Zambia
Other countries across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) are also encouraged to apply.
ANFCA is particularly interested in building a strong roster of national and regional experts capable of contextualizing climate and development interventions within diverse African realities.

Areas of Expertise
Applicants should demonstrate specialized knowledge and professional experience in one or more of the following sectors:

Agriculture and Food Systems
Public Health and Climate-Health Nexus
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) / Geospatial Analytics
Strategic Communications and Public Engagement
Policy Strategy and Climate Advocacy
Business Development and Partnerships
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)
Buy vitamins and supplements
This multi-sectoral approach ensures that ANFCA programming remains holistic and well-informed by evidence, while also enabling cross-cutting collaboration and systemic impact.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Applicants should possess:

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a relevant sector.
A demonstrated commitment to Africa’s development and climate action agenda.

Proven ability to work collaboratively in multicultural and multi-disciplinary environments.

Strong understanding of regional and national climate policies, development frameworks, and global agreements.
A record of contributing to or leading projects, evaluations, research, or advocacy that align with ANFCA’s mission.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in writing, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
Consultants may be engaged on a project, short-term, or retainer basis, depending on organizational needs and the scope of individual assignments.
